GST Rate Cut From Today: Ahead of the festive season, the government has given a big gift to the common man by reducing GST. Starting from the first day of Navratri, nearly 99% of everyday essential items have become cheaper.”

“GST 2.0 has come into effect in India, and from today, September 22, the first day of Navratri, the prices of several everyday essentials have dropped. Items like milk, bread, butter, and paneer are now cheaper. A day before the reform was rolled out, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it the beginning of a ‘Savings Festival,’ saying it would help both the poor and middle class save money. Just ahead of the festive season, this move is a big relief for households as daily-use items get more affordable. Let’s take a look at the savings calculation on 20 such essentials.”

Milk Price Drop After GST Rate Cut: How Much You’ll Save on Daily Dairy.

“Earlier, there was no GST on regular milk and vegetables, and that remains unchanged. However, Ultra High Temperature (UHT) milk has now been brought under zero GST, which was previously taxed at 5%. Following this change, brands like Amul and Mother Dairy have reduced their prices effective from September 22. Now, a 1-liter UHT toned tetra pack will cost ₹75 instead of ₹77, and a 450 ml pack will be available at ₹32 instead of ₹33.”

 

Paneer :

“GST Rate Cut: Along with milk, the 12% GST on paneer has also been removed and it is now included in the zero GST slab. In terms of savings, if you used to buy a 200-gram paneer pack for ₹90, you will now pay ₹10 less.”

 

 

Makkhan :

“GST Rate Cut: Butter, another essential dairy product used daily in the kitchen, has also become cheaper starting Monday. After the GST rate cut, a 500-gram pack of butter, which earlier cost ₹305, will now be available for ₹285, and a 100-gram butter block will cost ₹58 instead of ₹62.”

 

 

ICECREAM:-

Along with other items, the GST rate cut will also benefit ice cream. Even before the new rates came into effect, several companies announced price reductions on their ice cream products. According to Amul’s new price list, starting September 22, a 1-liter Vanilla Magic cup will cost ₹180 instead of ₹195, and the 125 ml Sugar-Free Shahi Anjeer ice cream will be available for ₹45 instead of ₹50.”

 

 BREAD :- 

there has been a ₹5 price reduction on items like Butter Scotch (125 ml) and Kulfi Punjabi (60 ml). Looking at Mother Dairy’s ice cream prices, following the GST cut, the company has reduced the cost of Ice Candy (45 g), 50 ml Vanilla Cup, and 30 ml Choco Bar from ₹10 to ₹9.”
